Expanding to Meet the Needs of Our Community

Investing in Wood River Health

Funds raised through Wood River Health's Capital Campaigns increase our capacity to provide our community with the programs and services they require to thrive. Donors who invest $1,000 or more are presented with naming opportunities. Current Capital Campaigns are listed below.

Hope Valley: Dental Equipment

We are currently seeking funding to support the cost of new dental sensors. The sensors will be used to take x-rays and are critical to patient dental care. Images are used to diagnose dental caries, periodontal disease, and oral pathology to enable treatment.

Hope Valley: Express Care Expansion

We are seeking funding to support the costs of equipment to outfit our new Express Care Clinic. This expansion will enable us to double the amount of same day clinical care we provide to the members of our community.

Hope Valley: Waiting Room Expansion

While the building expansion has increased our ability to provide health care services, our current waiting room structure has become a bottleneck to our healthcare delivery systems. We must expand our waiting area and streamline intake efficiencies to better serve our larger volume of patients.

Westerly: Primary Care Expansion

A 3,000 square foot unit  became available in early 2024 at 17 Wells Street. This expansion will enable Wood River Health to increase Westerly residents’ access to services by adding Express Care and Lab Services and broadening our hours of operation. We are seeking funds to support the cost of renovations and equipment.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Wood River Health has seen a significant rise in patient demand for our quality medical, dental, behavioral health and social services. To determine how to best meet our community’s growing needs, we conducted a comprehensive feasibility analysis. The results confirmed what we suspected: we must expand our footprint in Hope Valley. We secured an architect to design an addition at 823 Main Street. The new building will improved the patient experience and allowed us to:

The $5 million building project has enabled us to provide patients with a one-stop experience for all their medical needs, while preparing us to meet future demand. The generous donors who invested in our expansion are listed in our Annual Reports.
