National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program

Wood River Health is an approved site for the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program. This designation makes Wood River Health an attractive workplace for mission‑driven clinicians who are committed to serving communities with limited access to care.

Eligible medical, dental, and behavioral health providers may qualify for federal student loan repayment assistance in exchange for a service commitment at Wood River Health.

Participation in the NHSC program supports our ability to recruit and retain skilled health care professionals while expanding access to high‑quality, patient‑centered care. Through this program, Wood River Health continues to invest in a strong workforce focused on improving health outcomes and advancing health equity.

Celebrating a Positive Workplace Culture

Wood River Health believes a positive workplace culture strengthens our ability to care for patients. Each year, we proudly continue meaningful traditions that recognize our employees and celebrate the important contributions they make.

These traditions help foster appreciation, connection, and a supportive work environment across all departments.

Employee Recognition and Celebrations

We recognize employee milestones with a Quarterly Anniversary Breakfast, honoring years of service and dedication. Each year, we also host an Annual Staff Party, bringing employees together to celebrate with food, entertainment, and time to connect outside of the workday.

During National Health Center Week, employees are recognized with daily surprises and expressions of appreciation. In August, we celebrate summer with our Annual Staff Barbecue, a favorite tradition that brings team members together for fun and connection.

Communication and Collaboration

To support communication and teamwork, Wood River Health holds a Monthly All‑Staff Meeting. These meetings keep employees informed and engaged across the organization.

We also offer a variety of employee‑led committees, giving staff opportunities to share ideas, contribute to organizational initiatives, and have a voice in shaping our workplace culture.
