Care Anytime You Need It

Wood River Health is honored to care for our patients at any time of day or night. Your health matters, and support is available when you need it most.

A medical or dental provider is on call 24 hours a day, including evenings, weekends and holidays. On‑call care may take place at one of our facilities or through telehealth by phone or video.

Important Information About Telehealth Charges

Due to changes in insurance coverage for phone and video visits, some conversations with on‑call providers may result in a co‑pay. A telehealth visit is usually billed if any of the following occur:

• You speak with an on‑call provider for more than 10 minutes
• You discuss health concerns that result in a new prescription, testing or a referral

When a telehealth visit is billed, your usual co‑pays apply. Wood River Health is contractually required to bill your insurance company for care provided.

There is no charge when non‑provider staff contact you, such as calls related to lab results, scheduling or general questions.

For Patients Covered by Medicare

For most services, Medicare has returned to pre‑COVID‑19 telehealth rules. Phone‑only visits without video are no longer widely covered and are allowed only when:

• The patient is at home
• The provider offers video visits, but the patient cannot use video or chooses not to

Some services may still be provided from home under Medicare, including:

• Treatment for substance use disorders and related mental health conditions
• Mental and behavioral health services when in‑person visit requirements are met
• Home dialysis for people with end‑stage kidney disease

Convenient Care, All in One Place

Wood River Health offers additional services at our Hope Valley facility to support patients' overall health and make care easier to access. These services are through our trusted partners so patients can receive care in one convenient location.

Pharmaceutical Services

Genoa Healthcare operates onsite at our Hope Valley location. The pharmacy provides Wood River Health’s patients with a convenient option for filling prescriptions where they receive their medical, behavioral health and dental care.

Genoa Healthcare provides specialized pharmacy offerings to simplify the patient’s medication management, such as pre-filled pill organizers to help patients track their medications, convenient medication mailing options and assistance with authorizations and insurance plans.

Lab Services

Wood River Health provides Laboratory Services from East Side Clinical Laboratory at our Hope Valley and Westerly locations. No appointment is necessary. All Wood River Health patients are welcome.

Physical Therapy Services

Specialized Orthopedic Physical Therapy operates  at our Hope Valley location providing Wood River Health’s patients with a convenient option for physical therapy related to sports injuries, post-operative therapy, overuse injuries, balance disorders, joint and muscle sprains.
