A medical and dental provider is on-call day and night, weekends and holidays to treat patients at our facilities or by telehealth (by phone or video).
Due to insurance changes in telephone and video visits, some calls from you with our providers may have a co-pay. How can you know? If during the phone call between you and a provider either of the following occur:
A telemedicine visit will usually be billed, and your usual co-pays will apply.
We are contractually obligated to charge your insurance company for care provided.
As always, no charges apply if our non-provider staff calls you with your lab results, scheduling, or other issues.
For Patients Covered by Medicare
For most telehealth services, Medicare has reverted back to pre-COVID-19 procedures. Phone-only visits (without video) will no longer be widely covered. They’ll only be allowed if:
