Wood River Health offers Express Care services at our Hope Valley location. Call ahead for a same-day appointment, 401.539.2461.
If you are a current patient experiencing a non-urgent need such as cold or flu symptoms, a rash, or a minor cut or sprain call 401.539.2461 to schedule a same-day appointment at our Express Care Clinic. No Walk-Ins, please. Our providers are available for appointments 6 days per week with on-call providers available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, holidays and weekends. Avoid long lines and save money from costly tests and bills from the emergency room by contacting us first.
Express Care helps patients of all ages who have non-emergency needs including eye or ear infections, sore throats, sprains, sports injuries, and minor accidents. Express Care is open:

- Insurance information (We offer a Sliding Fee Scale Program if you don't have insurance)
- List of medications, allergies and any past surgeries
- A face mask (we can provide you with one) if you have cold or flu symptoms.

When to Call 911 or Visit an Emergency Room
- Chest pain
- Weakness (new onset)
- Breathing or speaking difficulty
- Coughing or throwing up blood
- Severe bleeding (uncontrollable or excessive)
- Abdominal pain (severe)
- Broken bones or dislocations
- Deep wounds and severe burns
- Double vision or trouble seeing walking or moving
- Fainting or passing out
- Ingestion or inhalation of poisonous substance
- Overdose
- Heart failure
- Pain in jaw or arm indicative of a cardiac episode
- Persistent vomiting or diarrhea
- Seizure
- Severe allergic reaction (hives, swelling or breathing difficulties)
- Sudden confusion, dizziness, weakness or drooping on one side of the body
- Sudden, unusually severe headache
- Very high fever (above 104 F)
