Harvest for Health Gala

Cropped invitation

Wood River Health hosts an annual gala called Harvest for Health. The event takes place in September and includes dinner, dancing, a wine raffle, silent and live auctions and lots of fun! The gala is supported through many generous sponsorships and donations made by community partners, local businesses and members of the Board of Directors. We launched our 1st Annual Gala in 2021, which netted $45,000 in donations.

Our 2nd Annual Harvest for Health took place at The Haversham House in Westerly on September 30, 2022. It raised over $65,000 for our health center. All proceeds are used to support Wood River Health's many programs and services that help improve our community's quality of life.

Our 3rd Annual Harvest for Health Gala will be held on September 22, 2023 at the Venice in Westerly at 6:00 PM. Back by popular demand, Take it to the Bridge has been secured for the occasion. Our Virtual Auction is open until 8pm on September 22, 2023. You do not need to be at the gala to bid on our items. Visit 32auctions.com/WoodRiverHealth.

Head to Toe Wellness Fair

Head to Toe Wellness Fair

Our second annual Wood River Health Head to Toe Wellness Fair took place on Thursday, June 1 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm on The Esplanade at Wilcox Park, 44 Broad Street, Westerly. Sponsored by Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island and in partnership with Westerly Library and Wilcox Park, this family-friendly event connects the members of our community with resources from many local non-profit organizations to cover them from head to toe.

The Wellness Fair is an opportunity for members of our community to connect with our providers and staff outside of a health care setting. It is also an opportunity for southwestern Rhode Island and southeastern Connecticut residents to get their health-related questions answered outside of their doctor’s office.

The event is tailored towards families with children. It features free raffles, giveaways and activities for children. Health related information and resources are distributed by Wood River Health’s Medical, Dental, and Behavioral Health Services, our Community Resources Team and Women, Infants & Children (WIC) department and our community partners.

Learn more about the event by reading the press release about our 2023 event. Our 2024 date will be posted as soon as it has been finalized.
