Chief Operating Officer, Executive Leadership
Greg Velander is currently serving in the role as Chief Operating Officer at Wood River Health Services since September of 2021. In this role he has oversight of the information technology systems, facilities, call center and front desk operations. Greg is part of the leadership team and works as a liaison for all areas of the organization to ensure operational excellence.
Greg has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry working closely with publicly financed health care programs. His previous role was as Director of Technology Innovation for Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island. In this role he led the evaluation and development of enterprise technologies to maintain an innovative edge within the healthcare space.
Prior to this, Greg held a director role in Business Intelligence and Analytics. In this role he designed and architected analytical software to programmatically select and help manage high risk populations to provide better quality care and reduce the overall cost of patient care. Greg received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Computer Information Systems and a minor in Psychology from Bryant University.
