Director of Human Resources, Executive Leadership
Stephanie Calenda joined the Wood River team in January of 2021. She has over 15 years of experience in Human Resources, primarily in social services and healthcare settings. Prior to joining Wood River, Stephanie was a member of the first leadership team at Ocean State Healthcare, a private equity owned health care company operating primary care, urgent care, and specialty practices in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. There she consolidated and designed an HR department that served over 300 employees. Prior to that Stephanie was Director of HR and Labor Relations at Blackstone Valley Community Healthcare, an FQHC serving Pawtucket and Central Falls, Rhode Island.
In addition, Stephanie is an Instructor at the Executive Development Center at Bryant University where she teaches a variety of HR courses and a prep course for professionals sitting for the SHRM national certification exam.
Stephanie has a Master’s in Human Resources & Labor Relations from the University of Rhode Island and a Bachelor’s from Bryant University in Business Administration with a minor in Sociology. She also is a Senior Certified HR Professional (SHRM-SCP) through the Society for Human Resource Management.
