Wood River Health Receives $750,000 Federal Investment

June 10, 2026

Wood River Health recently secured $750,000 in federal funding, thanks to the advocacy of Representative Seth Magaziner through the Fiscal Year 2026 appropriations process. This critical investment will support renovations at our Hope Valley facility, including an expanded and redesigned waiting area that will improve access to care for thousands of patients.

Each year, more than 12,000 individuals rely on Wood River Health for medical, dental and behavioral health services. As demand continues to grow, this project will help us better serve our community by streamlining patient intake, adding seating and creating a more efficient, welcoming environment for patients and families. All improvements will meet ADA accessibility standards, ensuring equitable access for all.

“Our community continues to grow, and so does the need for accessible, integrated care,” said Alison Croke, President and CEO. “This investment helps us meet that need while improving comfort, access and efficiency for everyone we serve.” Croke is pictured above with Representatives Samuel Azzinaro and Seth Magaziner.

Magaziner joined Wood River Health leaders in Hope Valley on May 28 to announce the funding and reaffirm the importance of community health centers in delivering care close to home. For many of our patients, especially those in rural communities, local access to care is essential. Without it, barriers such as travel distance and cost can prevent individuals from getting the services they need.

This federal support comes at a pivotal time and reflects a shared commitment to strong, community based healthcare. It also builds upon the generosity of donors and partners who continue to invest in Wood River Health’s mission.

As we move forward, we remain deeply grateful for the public and private support that makes projects like this possible. Together, we are strengthening access to care, improving patient experiences and ensuring a healthier future for our community.
